As our project 'In the Spirit of Gil and Miles' draws to a close, I wanted to share with you this splendid photo of Gil Evans taken in the Town Hall in Birmingham in the early 1970s. It comes from the colection of jazzcamera.co.uk. Our concert there on Tuesday was followed on Wednesday night by the BBC Radio 3 broadcast of the London performance.
